We’ve talked about how this season in particular has been incredibly difficult to predict — and through seven weeks very little has occurred to curb that thesis.
Here is a short list of the Week 7 games we were way off about: The 49ers, after embarrassing the Browns, were able to muster functionally no offense in their 9-0 victory over Washington; the Giants were unable to execute any offense early against the Cardinals, leading to a rough under to the 49 (48 total points); the Chargers let Tennessee score 20-plus and lost the game and the under (40) in terrible fashion; and the Seahawks laid an egg at home, falling to the Ravens.
We did hit on a few key bets though: We took the Dolphins (+17) and the Over (40) and hit both (Bills 31-21); we also nabbed both halves of the Vikings (-1) over the Lions at Over 45 (Vikings 42-30).
Despite our best efforts, we’ll try to do better in a week that seems a little more clear cut in most instances.
