Jerry Jones isn’t having a good morning after Cowboys loss

Dallas Cowboys

After a bad loss to the Chicago Bears Thursday night, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is having a pretty rough Friday morning.

The Dallas Cowboys dropped their third straight game on Thursday night, as the Chicago Bears beat them more soundly than the 31-24 score would indicate. Owner Jerry Jones is always available to speak to the media, with weekly radio appearances and post game availability, but Friday morning that constant willingness to talk and be available seems to have bitten him a bit.

Jones went 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Friday morning, and was asked right off the bat if he is embarrassed by the team’s recent effort. He hardly sounded like himself, to go with some pointed words for the hosts.

“Get your damn act together yourself,” Jones said. “Settle down a little bit. I don’t like your attitude to come in. I’ve been traveling all night and don’t have the patience to jack with you today.”

Jones was briefly dumped from the interview for repeated cursing, as the station’s system apparently automatically drops callers who use swear words on air. One particular phrase seems to have been the dumping point.

Here’s a clip from the interview.

Everyone associated with the Cowboys is frustrated right now, even as they still lead the NFC East, and it’s only a matter of time before head coach Jason Garrett is fired. Jones rarely comes off as flustered or without words in any setting, so his radio interview the morning after Thursday night’s loss is a bad sign of just how bad things are in Dallas.
