Josh Jacobs will be inactive for Raiders vs. Titans

Fantasy Football, Oakland Raiders

If you were leaning on Josh Jacobs to help you win in fantasy today, you need to act fast because he has been ruled out vs. the Tennessee Titans.

It’s Week 14 of the 2019 NFL season. That means you’re either fighting for a playoff spot in fantasy football or you’re playing in the first round this weekend. If you have had great success with Oakland Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs, you need to act so fast, as he has been ruled out on Sunday afternoon vs. the Tennessee Titans.

This is a game that the Raiders absolutely need to have if they want to stay alive in the AFC Wild Card race. As for the Titans, they too will need this game, as Oakland is likely the easiest game they have left on the regular-season slate. So what should you do to offset Jacobs being ruled out?

If you have him as an RB1 or RB2, that’s probably not a good idea to begin with. So find a guy that is on your bench who hasn’t played yet and will play either in the late window on Sunday afternoon, Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football.

If you feel the need to go the handcuff route, perhaps try your luck with Jacobs’ Raiders teammates in Jalen Richard or DeAndre Washington. That being said, you may want to use another wide receiver or tight end to play in the flex over Jacobs, especially if you don’t feel overly confident about your stable of running backs on your fantasy football team’s bench.

This could be another long day for the Silver and Black, as quarterback Derek Carr won’t have his bell-cow to lean on this week in Jacobs in what is a must-win game for the Raiders. Since the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that he has an MRI scheduled next week to look at his bum shoulder, this could be problematic if you need Jacobs to help you win in fantasy going forward.
