Drew Lock has played fantastic in his first two career starts for the Denver Broncos. Is he worth streaming at quarterback in fantasy during the playoffs?
Even though he fell to the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, it seems the Denver Broncos have found their long-awaited answer at quarterback with rookie Drew Lock. The former Missouri Tigers standout shined in his NFL debut two weeks ago against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers and put together an even better performance Sunday vs. the Houston Texans.
In his first two NFL starts, Lock has completed 72.7 percent of his passes for 443 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. He is coming off an unreal game vs. Houston where he completed 81.5 percent of his passes for 309 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
It might sound crazy, but could you potentially look to stream Lock in the final weeks of the fantasy season?

The Fantasy Footballers were very impressed with his performance against the Texans, as he was the first Fantasy Studmuffin mentioned during Monday’s show. It’s a bold strategy to stream Lock in either Week 15 or Week 16, but he has averaged more than 18 fantasy points in his first two starts for the Broncos.
What it really comes down to is the matchups he’ll face.
If you are looking to stream Lock in the final two weeks of the fantasy football season, you could have success at the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15 and home vs. the Detroit Lions in Week 16. Obviously, Detroit in Week 16 is the tastier of the two matchups, but could he play well vs. the Chiefs?
Though the game is in Arrowhead, the Chiefs are coming off a huge road victory vs. the New England Patriots. While the Chiefs have a good pass defense, teams can run all over them. If the Chiefs overlook the resurgent Broncos, look for running back Phillip Lindsay to go off.
Maybe Lock can prove his first two starts were no fluke by not being Derek Carr and winning at Arrowhead?
Overall, if you’re going to stream Lock in either of the final two weeks of the fantasy season, you’re better off going with him in Week 16 vs. the Lions at home than on the road against the Chiefs in Week 15. It’s such a bold move to start Lock in what would be a championship game, but his performance against a dead Lions team could be what gets you to the top of your league.
