There’s only three weeks left in the NFL’s regular season, and these five teams need to walk away from Week 15 with a victory.
It’s now officially crunch time for the NFL’s playoff contenders. There are only three weeks to go in the regular season, and that means if you’re on this list of teams in need of a win, you’d better get it.
This week’s list is a bit unique since four of the five teams involved play against each other, so the stakes are high in those contests. Let’s get it started however with the one team not involved in those big games, the Seattle Seahawks.
5. Seattle Seahawks
The path to home field advantage in the NFC seemed to be pretty wide open for the Seahawks, who could have the playoffs go through CenturyLink Field by winning out and having New Orleans lose once. The Saints fell to the 49ers on Sunday, but the Seahawks couldn’t take advantage, laying an egg in Los Angeles against the Rams.
Not only was that defeat very discouraging, it dropped the Seahawks out of first place in the division. Seattle can still win the division by winning out since that would involve completing a season sweep of San Francisco, giving them the tiebreaker, but that also means their margin of error is gone.
The schedule sends Seattle east to play at 10 a.m. body time on Sunday against a Carolina Panthers’ team that has already fired its head coach and is in the midst of a five game losing streak. A defeat here would not only essentially end Seattle’s shot at a division title, but would also put its grip on a playoff spot in more serious peril.
