Speed is quickly becoming the name of the game in the NFL, and there are guys in the 2020 Draft who bring speed to the table.
It is finally 2020 NFL Draft season after the Super Bowl finished up Sunday night, and we once again saw something in that game that is becoming more evident in the NFL. Speed is becoming the name of the game, especially at the wide receiver position.
It’s been evident for some time that Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been leading the charge when it comes to speedy wide receivers. He’s been dynamic in Andy Reid’s offense, accumulating over 14.5 yards per catch and 32 touchdowns in his 59 games in Kansas City.
Hill isn’t just a speedster, though. He has developed into a player who can use his speed to win in other ways. The Chiefs run plenty of jet sweeps and reverses to take advantage of his speed in space. Hill also uses his speed to win as a route runner, especially the hitch route.
In the 2020 NFL Draft class, there are a few wide receivers who use speed to their advantage.
