The Los Angeles Rams are getting ready to unveil their new logo, and a leak of the potential replacement has fans freaking out.
Los Angeles Rams are anxious about their new logo. Let’s hope it’s not the leaked version.
On Saturday, the team put out a tweet taking down their old logo of an angry ram charging forward without replacing it. The only text? An hourglass.
Later in the day, a logo leaked that appears to be from a New Era NFL Draft hat, showcasing “LA” in a way which could be use for the Rams or Chargers. Frankly, it should be for neither.
That logo needs to go quietly into the night, something everyone seems to agree on.
The Rams are scheduled to release their new logo, color and uniforms before the NFL Draft on April 23, and fans have been taking to social media with ideas for the new duds. However, nothing confirmed has been leaked, so everyone remains on high alert for the actual unveiling. To this point, no official date has been given.
Considering the team is now back in Los Angeles after spending 1995-2016 in St. Louis, maybe harken back to the old look. From 1946-94, the Rams have had gold and blue uniforms, a blue and white phase and then blue and yellow before eventually changing to a darker gold and blue combination after winning Super Bowl XXXIV in St. Louis.
If the Rams go traditional and bring back a classic brand, there’s no risk of infuriating fans. If they go with a hybrid between themselves and the Chargers like above? Yikes.
