Seattle Seahawks receiver David Moore makes it official. Moore will be a Seahawk heading into the 2020 season after signing his restricted free agent tender.
David Moore will return to the Seattle Seahawks for the 2020 NFL season.
The 25-year-old receiver officially signed his restricted free agent tender on Sunday, April 19. Moore will continue his career as a Seahawk entering his fourth NFL season. He was a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

While known for his participation in end zone celebrations with his teammates, head coach Pete Carroll voiced admiration for Moore’s growth on the field. Being able to line up at any spot pre-snap has given the offense flexibility as they can move him in motion, Carroll said last year.
This was a big difference heading into 2019. Moore dominantly only lined up in one spot when he saw action his first two seasons with the Seahawks.
In 14 regular-season games played in 2019, Moore had 17 catches, 301 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. He averaged 17.7 yards per catch.
The Seahawks having him back in the fold should help maintain the chemistry on the offensive side of the ball. With a strange offseason, retaining familiar options should help quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense.
In 2019, the Seahawks offense finished ninth in points per game (25.3) and eighth in yards per game (374.4). In this offense, Wilson made the second team All-Pro accumulating 4,110 yards passing, 31 passing touchdowns and only 5 interceptions.
