5 NFL players who will probably still be traded this offseason

Though the draft is done, here are five NFL players who will probably still be traded this offseason.

The 2020 NFL Draft is now done, so all 32 teams had a chance to fill some holes that went unfilled in free agency or trades up to that point. Undrafted free agents are no mostly aboard as well to fill out full 90-man rosters, however the full breadth of offseason winds up taking shape.

A few big names have surfaced in trade rumors, and some (DeAndre Hopkins, Brandin Cooks, etc.) were indeed moved. Now that the draft is done and teams can fully assess the majority of their offseason work (or lack thereof), some of those trade rumors may ramp up again.

Over what remains of the offseason, these five NFL players will probably still be traded.

5. Yannick Ngakoue, DE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Ngakoue has made it abundantly clear he wants out of Jacksonville, to the point of recently getting into a Twitter back-and-forth with the owner’s son. The team franchised tagged him anyway, and it’s no surprise he has not signed the tender. Signing the tender would help open the door to a trade, but Jacksonville’s asking price has reportedly been high.

This could be a standoff that ultimately ends with the Jaguars rescinding the franchise tag, thus setting Ngakoue free as an unrestricted free agent. But a team with the cap space to take on his tag for this year, and the ability/desire to give Ngakoue the kind of long-term deal he seeks, could still come calling.
