Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has found himself still without a job in May. Where could he continue his career in 2020?

Cam Newton is 30, turning 31 on May 11th. As we’ve seen other NFL quarterbacks, like Tom Brady and Drew Brees play into their 40s, it’s fair to assume Newton has a lot of football still left in him. The problem is, he still is left without a team.

Las Vegas Raiders

If Cam Newton wants to find success in a big city, there’s no better fit than the Las Vegas Raiders. Though they’ve invested a lot of time in Derek Carr, Newton would give him good competition and might even win the starting job from Carr.

Newton is a former NFL MVP and would be a better quarterback if he worked with Jon Gruden. Gruden is one of the best coaches with quarterbacks. He’s turned around many careers and has gotten the best from Carr during the past two seasons.

As they rebuild, Gruden and Newton could build a team like the Baltimore Ravens. Newton isn’t as fast as Lamar Jackson, but he can run well, has a solid arm, and is a big guy. If Newton stays healthy with Gruden, he could be a top quarterback in the NFL again.

This is a great fit for Newton if you think about it. First off, Carr and Gruden have had their problems during the last two seasons. I could see Gruden trying to replace him as soon as he could. Of all of the quarterbacks looking for a job, Newton is the one to replace him with.
