The Washington Redskins have an opportunity to produce a winning season in 2020. There are five free agents they could sign to help them crack the mark.
There are five free-agent signings that could help the Washington Redskins find relevancy in 2020.
The 2020 Redskins are already much-improved from the 3-13 squad in 2019. They went out and hired head coach Ron Rivera, who led a 15-1 Carolina Panthers team to a Super Bowl appearance as head coach in 2015. Washington also drafted the best defensive prospect in the draft in defensive end Chase Young out of Ohio State
There are definitely some holes they can fill to make this a competitive squad in 2020. Adding these five players would be a big help.
5. Larry Warford
With a traditional running back like Adrian Peterson in the backfield, the Redskins will need someone who can create holes. So why not add guard Larry Warford? The three-time Pro Bowl guard is a 28-year-old star who can give this team three quality years of on-field production.
With a young offensive line, Warford would compliment the Redskins lone veteran guard Brandon Scherff. The two could be a solid combination in the trenches fending off specialized, run-stopping nose tackles. Peterson could use the help on inside runs, especially on short yardage and goal line situations.
