The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most storied franchises in NFL history, but who would crack their Mount Rushmore?

Few teams in football history have accomplished as much as the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is incredible considering they were basically inept prior to the AFL-NFL merger. The Steelers were an afterthought in the NFL but quickly became a powerhouse after joining the AFC.

Under the guidance of Chuck Noll, the Steelers built one of the NFL’s great dynasties in the 70s, winning four Super Bowls in six years. Pittsburgh’s Steel Curtain defense was littered with Hall of Famers, but the winning didn’t stop with those Steelers’ teams.

The modern Steelers have had plenty of success thanks to an incredibly stable coaching tree. Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin are the only three coaches the franchise has had since 1970, giving Pittsburgh the opportunity to amass a ton of talent and allow it to thrive.

Making the cut for the Steelers’ Mount Rushmore is incredibly hard when players like Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Rod Woodson, Troy Polamalu, Ben Roethlisberger, Jerome Bettis, and Hines Ward can’t crack the top four. Who did make the list for Pittsburgh’s Mount Rushmore?
