Los Angeles Chargers owner Dean Spanos did not hold back with his thoughts about recent rumors that they would be considering a move to London.
Rumors started circulating on Monday night when a report from The Athletic’s Vincent Bonsignore claimed that the Los Angeles Chargers would listen if the NFL approached them about moving the franchise to London. This despite being committed to being in Los Angeles.
According to Bonsignore, other NFL owners are concerned about the situation the Chargers face in Los Angeles with a crowded sports market and would reportedly be on board and support the team moving.
Team owner Dean Spanos has some thoughts on the matter.
On Tuesday, Spanos launched into a profanity-laced tirade over the matter, as reported by ESPN’s Eric Williams.
The following quote contains coarse language.
“It’s total f*cking bullshit,” Spanos said, “We’re not going to London. We’re not going anywhere. We’re playing in Los Angeles. This is our home, and this is where we are planning to be for a long f*cking time. Period.”
The Chargers official Twitter account followed up with this tweet:

The Chargers have played their home games in Dignity Health Sports Park since 2017 and are moving into the newly-built SoFi Stadium, which they will share with the Los Angeles Rams, for the 2020 season.
If reports of NFL owners being on board with a team moving to London are true, then we could see a different team in a struggling market look to make that move in the near future.
