Behold! An aerial view of Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas Raiders fans!

Look at where the Las Vegas Raiders are playing football games this fall.

No longer will the Silver and Black be subjected to a multi-purpose stadium from the 1960s with dirt on the field. They are getting a brand-new home that seemingly every NFL team outside of only a handful will be jealous of. It may look like a Roomba from above, but the Sin City vacuum cleaner is the greatest thing you’ll see on Twitter today. Allegiant Stadium is magnificent!

When you see the aerial shot of this Southern Nevada flying saucer, you have to believe late owner Al Davis is smiling down from Heaven, letting his son Mark Davis know he did a good job. The Raiders wanted to stay in Oakland. We all did. However, economic issues made staying in the Bay Area no longer possible for the NFL’s rebel franchise. They’re getting the home they truly deserve.

One look at Allegiant Stadium says the Raiders are coming to Vegas, baby!

Going to a city with no state income tax will give the Raiders a leg up on recruiting players in free agency they’ve never had before. The stadium will be paid for by hotel taxes from all the tourists coming to Las Vegas to lose some money, get sunburnt poolside and devour some delicious buffet food. There is really no downside here with the Raiders playing in Las Vegas economically.

What’s even cooler is the Mountain West’s UNLV Rebels will call Allegiant Stadium home too. The doormat of a program has had to deal with the hot Las Vegas heat for far too long over at Sam Boyd Stadium. Playing indoors in a state-of-the-art facility might help them compete in their Group of 5 conference.

Let’s not forget about the Las Vegas Bowl and future Super Bowls being played here. With this venue, Las Vegas can now host Super Bowls, Final Fours and anything else metropolises with domed football stadiums can do. This isn’t just a total game-changer for the Raiders, but the entire state of Nevada.

Next: These 5 NFL teams are going to have the No. 1 overall pick soon

Finally, when you look at Allegiant Stadium from above, it will 100 percent ward off future alien invasions because our intergalactic enemies will see the Sin City spaceship and want no part of it. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Never forget that no matter how long you live. Those are words to live by.

Raiders fans can rejoice knowing their team doesn’t have to play on dirt fields any longer.

Will Josh Jacobs be a better receiving back for the Las Vegas Raiders?

Running back Josh Jacobs was one of the better rookies in the NFL last season. For the then-Oakland Raiders, Jacobs had 242 carries for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns in only 13 games. While he showed us why he was worth the first-round pick coming out of the University of Alabama, Jacobs wasn’t much of a factor in the receiving game for the Silver and Black.

The Fantasy Footballers set the bar pretty high for Jacobs to cross an important receiving threshold of 35 catches out of the backfield. The reason that benchmark of 35 is so significant is it is incredibly difficult to be a top-10 running back in fantasy football if you can’t approach three dozen receptions out of the backfield. Does Jacobs have what it takes in their eyes?

Check out The Fantasy Footballers for all their advice

Jason Moore and Andy Holloway have Jacobs upwards of 40 catches out of the backfield for the Silver and Black in 2020. Mike Wright wants to get him to 35, but comes up one reception short at only 34. He recognizes how run-oriented the Raiders offense has been and will be under third-year head coach Jon Gruden. Jacobs hasn’t had more than 20 catches in a season since 2016.

Does Josh Jacobs assert himself as a top-10 fantasy running back in 2020?

[embedded content]

Having another year of familiar with the Raiders offense should be a plus for Jacobs as a receiver. So is starting quarterback Derek Carr’s proclivity for hitting the check down like his life depended on it. Not having longtime Raiders running back DeAndre Washington on the team any more also opens up more opportunities for Jacobs to improve as a receiving back.

Overall, the guys do view Jacobs as a top-10 running back in 2020. Holloway has him as his RB6 heading into this upcoming season. We know what Jacobs can do in the ground game, but has left a lot to be desired as a receiver. Though we should be skeptical of him breaking the 35-reception threshold, the best thing he’s got going for him is three extra games than he played in 2019.

Next: Can Cam Newton be a QB1 in fantasy on Patriots offense?

Had Jacobs played in all 16 games last year for the Silver and Black, he would have had 24.6 receptions. Of course, that’s not anywhere closer to 35 from where it was at 20, but one more catch out of the backfield a game as a second-year pro should do the trick. Regardless, Jacob should be an RB10 anyway this fall no matter how much of a factor he is in the receiving game.

Derek Carr returns for his seventh season as the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, and here are five reasons they can win with him in 2020.

For the last three offseason, all the noise surrounding the Raiders has been focused on quarterback Derek Carr, and whether or not he would return as the starter. Entering Year 7, he is in the best situation of his career, and this is a team that can certainly win with him under center.

Here are five reasons the Raiders can win with him as their starter in 2020.

Raiders have revamped the defensive side of the ball

Throughout his NFL career, Carr has been the quarterback of teams with some very bad defenses. In fact, even through the first two years of the second Jon Gruden tenure, the defenses have looked terrible at times, and while they made improvements in 2019, they were not competitive in most games.

Luckily for Carr, the defense should be much better in 2020, as the Raiders addressed all three levels of the defense, most importantly, at linebacker and cornerback. These have been two areas of weakness for the Raiders defense for years, and in guys like Cory Littleton, Nick Kwiatkoski, Damon Arnette, and Amik Robertson, the Raiders flat out got better.

Defense creates offense, and there have been too many times over the course of his career that Carr has had to bring his team back after a defensive failure. Defensive coordinator Paul Guenther is the Wildcard here, but if the guys play up to their potential, the Raiders offense should be in a much better situation in terms of where they start their drives.

The Raiders franchise has been plagued with being the victims of some terrible calls, and we dive into the top-5 in team history.

Throughout the history of the now-Las Vegas Raiders franchise, the team has been on the wrong side of their fair share of bad calls. In fact, some of the games are the most legendary in NFL history, adding to the point that the organization has a reputation of being snake-bitten.

Here are the five times the Raiders got absolutely hosed by the officials.

The worst calls to ever go against the Raiders

The Final Game in Oakland

You do not have to reach back that far in your memory to remind yourself of the first game on our list, as it just happened to be the Raiders final game in the Bay Area. Playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with their playoff hopes still alive, the Silver and Black appeared to lock up a victory.

On a second-and-9 with a little over two minutes left in the game, Derek Carr ran for 12 yards and got the first down. Once he had the first down secure, Carr slid inbounds, which should have kept the clock moving right up until the two minute warning.

Instead, the refs blew the call, said Carr was out of bounds, and stopped the clock. Oakland had to run another play before the two minute warning, giving the Jaguars more time, which they used to go down the field for the game-winning touchdown with 31 seconds left.

When all was said and done, the Raiders blew a 13-point halftime lead, allowed the Jags to score 17 unanswered in the second half, and lost their final game inside the Coliseum.

Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby fired a shot in Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ direction this week.

It’s Patrick Mahomes’ league. The rest of the NFL is merely taking part in a twisted science experiment.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP and 2018 NFL MVP is growing into his leadership role as face of the league, making statements on prominent social causes such as the protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

Yet, a gnat just landed on Mahomes’ shoulder.

On Thursday, Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby talked smack about sacking Mahomes. Questionable move.

Raiders DE Maxx Crosby said he’ll sack Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes this season.

“I was close as few times. It pissed me off pretty much. Every second after that game was over, a couple times I was just mad. . . He’s a different type of player too. He’s one of those guys. He just backpedals, he’ll throw the ball from weird angles, it’s not like sacking a regular quarterback. Yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to sacking him. It needs to happen. It’s definitely going to happen,” Crosby told The Lefkoe Show.

We admire his confidence. Crosby notched 10 sacks in his rookie season, most of which came under the radar for a Raiders team in its final campaign in Oakland. Crosby’s name will known on the Vegas strip in the coming years.

Still, insisting it’s a foregone conclusion that Crosby, a second-year defensive end on a third-place AFC West squad in 2019, will sack the football magician that is Mahomes seems unwise.

Mark this down as bulletin-board material for Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Chiefs, who enter the season as rightful favorites to win the AFC West for a fifth straight time, and then win Super Bowl LV on their way to dynasty status.

Las Vegas Raiders rookie Henry Ruggs III received positive news after suffering a freak injury during a move.

When the Raiders drafted Alabama speedster Henry Ruggs III in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, they didn’t imagine his first injury scare would occur months before training camp.

Last week, Ruggs suffered a thigh laceration after he was pinned to a trailer while helping a friend move, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. While the Raiders didn’t initially comment on the injury, citing private medical details, they can take a sigh of relief.

Ruggs should be ready for camp, as the injury did not damage the muscle. The 21-year-old former Crimson Tide target had been seen on crutches, prompting initial panic amid the fanbase.

Will Las Vegas Raiders rookie Henry Ruggs III miss any playing time?

Ruggs was a flashy pick which would’ve made former owner Al Davis proud. After running a 4.27 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, his draft stock flourished, with the Raiders eventually selecting him with the No. 12 overall selection in April.

Tyrell Williams and Nelson Agholor, along with Ruggs, will be the primary pass-catchers out wide for Carr this coming season in what could be a make-or-break year for him.

The development of a potential star on the outside would do wonders for the Fresno State product, who has yet to receive a true vote of confidence from head coach Jon Gruden, placing his job security in question.

Ruggs’ proven ability on deep routes adds a new element to the Raiders offense. It’s one they desperately need if they’re to compete in the AFC West, a division that boasts the Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs.

With the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers looming, Vegas needs Ruggs to help it make a move towards the postseason.

Jason Witten made it clear to his former Dallas Cowboys teammate Dez Bryant he’s tired of racial injustices

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant raised plenty of eyebrows on Sunday, calling out Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, and Jason Witten on Twitter for not attending the protests for racial injustices in Austin, Texas.

Bryant, former teammates with Witten, went on a bit of a rant to express his disappointment in the tight end not being more vocal. Witten, getting ready to begin his 17th season in the NFL, didn’t waste any time in responding.

The new Las Vegas Raiders tight end wanted to make sure everyone, including Bryant, knew he’s all about changes being made.

Dez – When I saw your tweet, I tried to call you. I don’t know what you’re feeling, but I do know what I stand for and believe in.

I believe it’s time for change.
I believe we must all listen.
I believe together is the way.

Let’s unite and impact change together. Much Love. https://t.co/pzB0bUa9AJ

As expected, Witten went the classy route and instead of starting up a social media war with Bryant, he agreed that changes need to be made and everyone must listen to the communities and the people who have been oppressed for years and years.

Bryant himself appeared thankful Witten took the time to respond and reach out to him directly. It looks like the two players still have tremendous respect for one another both on and off the field.

No word yet if Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have been able to speak with Bryant. Still, though, it looks like old No. 88’s words struck a chord with Witten and they’re now on the same page.

What could have ended up turning into a nasty feud resulted with two former Cowboys uniting with one another in hopes of inspiring more awareness for racial injustices. Seems like a win-win for everyone involved.

Peter King is stirring the pot with his first rankings of an NFL season that is sure to be bonkers.

NFL insider Peter King is no stranger to offering up controversial opinions. While he’s nowhere near Skip Bayless’ level, King can surely raise some eyebrows every now and then. Such was the case with his most recent NFL power rankings heading into the 2020 campaign.

At No. 1 and No. 2, to no one’s surprise, King has the Chiefs and Ravens at the top of the list. With Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City expected to push for back-to-back Super Bowl titles, them being thought of as the best team in the league is right on target. But, King’s No. 5 and No. 8 picks? Well, you may want to take a seat for these selections.

Some power-ranking surprises (Bucs 5th? Raiders 8th?!) take a back seat in my latest column.

Our country is at a crossroads.

Football Morning In America is now live: https://t.co/nPiRxnqicA pic.twitter.com/5TP7Gd6vVR

What were Peter King’s boldest rankings?

Interestingly enough, King putting the Buccaneers at No. 5 on his list isn’t even the biggest shock, but it will surely turn heads. Sure, Tampa Bay and Bruce Arians have welcomed in Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Will that be enough to propel them over the Saints in the NFC South?

Keep in mind, Brady is 42 years old and Gronk just took a year off of football. Instead of suiting up on Sundays in 2019, he spent his time promoting CBD products and brawling it out for the WWE. King having the Bucs as top-five team just seems way out of left field.

However, it’s not as head-scratching as his move to put the Raiders at No. 8 on his rankings. That’s not a typo, folks. Despite Mr. Mediocre Derek Carr leading the Las Vegas offense, King thinks the addition of Henry Ruggs will propel this offense to new levels. Adding a 38-year-old Jason Witten to the mix seems to impress him as well.

Though exciting times are ahead for fans in Sin City, the Raiders being placed at No. 8 makes zero sense, especially with the Broncos slotting in at No. 20. This is a slap in the face to the Broncos, who have had an impressive offseason and will be featuring young quarterback Drew Lock in 2020. With him running the offense, many expect Denver to make a push for the postseason.

King decided to mix things up with his latest rankings, and it sure featured plenty of surprises. Look for fans to point out how wrong he is once the regular season comes to a close this winter.

Oakland Raiders rookie Henry Ruggs III suffered a thigh injury during his move.

Rumors of a Henry Ruggs III injury injury swirled on Monday, as the Raiders rookie suffered a freak thigh ailment during a move. His father later confirmed said report after the Raiders released a vague statement highlighting his medical privacy.

However, regardless of the reason for Ruggs injury, the Raiders ought to be concerned about his long-term future. After spending a first-round pick on the speedster out of Alabama, it took exactly (checks watch) zero practices or games for him to get injured.

Not to mention, such an issue took place miles away from the nearest football field.

Should the Raiders be concerned about Henry Ruggs III thigh injury?

There’s always a chance that Ruggs’ ailment was slightly dramatized, but such an incision surely could’ve been far worse. Per his father, thankfully, there are no long-term effects other than a lack of trust with Raider Nation.

It was just like a little open wound on his leg, a little incision. Like something had stuck him right there on his thigh a little bit.”

Ruggs was seen on crutches in the aftermath of such an incident, moving far slower than his 4.27 40-yard dash time.

While every athlete is subject to day-to-day injuries, the Raiders have so much invested in Ruggs as the future No. 1 target for Derek Carr, or whoever takes over in his place in 2021. With the COVID-19 pandemic potential delaying the start of Training Camp, Vegas is subject to any and all risk on their investment for a prolonged period of time, something that should make Jon Gruden and Mark Davis very uncomfortable.

Maxx Crosby just committed to excellence with a sweet Raiders tattoo.

Maxx Crosby is the embodiment of a Raider.

Crosby overcame his small-school status to put together a remarkable rookie campaign for the Silver and Black. The fourth-round pick out of Eastern Michigan University had 10 sacks in 16 games as yet another hidden gem in Mike Mayock’s 2019 NFL Draft class. Crosby can become a star in Sin City, as he just proclaimed his lifelong support of the Raiders with some fresh ink.

Yes, Crosby just got the Raiders’ iconic emblem tattooed on the back of right arm, just above his elbow. While it looks fantastic, how fantastic will it be if he’s playing for somebody else in his mid-to-late 20s? Though a team logo forever emblazoned on one’s triceps would be a great way to secure a lifetime contract, so would getting 10 sacks annually for the next decade-plus.

Maxx Crosby’s unquestioned loyalty is to the Raiders with new tattoo.

When a professional athlete gets a tattoo of a team’s logo on his body, it’s usually his alma mater’s insignia or one of his favorite childhood teams from the city he grew up near. You may be living the dream playing the sport you love so much, but getting a tattoo of the team you’re currently playing for is about as bold of a statement as you can get. But for Crosby, it works.

Yeah, Jason Terry used to get premeditated Larry O’Brien Trophies tattooed on his body to get his teammates fired up. It was cool when he hit on one with the 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks, but what about the other two? Well, one out of three ain’t bad. So we can all be certain Crosby will never play for another NFL team in his life, and certainly not the Kansas City Chiefs or Denver Broncos.

Next: 5 NFL players who will become sophomore sensations

If it was pretty much any other player on pretty much any other team, we’d crucify the guy for inking his employer on his body when the organization could cut him in the blink of an eyelash. As for Crosby, he has the chance to be the Silver and Black’s nearest MAC equivalent to their dearly beloved Khalil Mack. Crosby has the talent and productivity to make the Raiders a winner again.

Crosby’s latest tattoo is a bold statement, but we wouldn’t expect anything else from the Raiders.
