The Las Vegas Raiders are entering the third season of their latest Jon Gruden era and continue their rebuild in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

When Jon Gruden took over the Las Vegas Raiders for a second time, he decided to make some rather questionable moves. The former Super Bowl winner with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to forgo paying big contracts to some of the veteran players he inherited.

Former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack was the first player Gruden decided to pass on. The Raiders ended up sending him to the Chicago Bears, along with a second-round pick and a conditional fifth, for a couple of first-round selections and two third-rounders.

Gruden took a lot of heat for that as Mack was a complete stud for the Bears. He then took a little more grief for getting rid of Amari Cooper, who was sent to the Dallas Cowboys for another first-round selection. At first, this seemed to be a steal but then Cooper went off for the Cowboys and made the Pro Bowl.

Now we look forward to the team moving from Oakland to Las Vegas and we can see that Gruden’s moves are beginning to bear fruit. As is his decision to sign Mike Mayock as his general manager. The former broadcaster and NFL Network analyst has done a good job with Gruden and they had a very good draft in 2019.

And now, they’re about to get back to the drawing board once again with the rest of the assets they got from their big Mack trade. Oakland enters the 2020 NFL Draft with two picks in the first round and three in the third — which helps as they won’t have a pick in Round 2 due to that deal.

With all that being said, we now look ahead to that draft and attempt to predict what they will do during the event that they will be hosting.
