Pewter Power is back for the Buccaneers, and so is a winning team

By really embracing the pewter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back and ready to make some noise in the NFC for the first time in well over a decade.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ready to win now and have new uniforms to get excited about.

Though their creamsicles from decades ago remain iconic, they also symbolize rampant losing for the Florida Gulf Coast professional football team. While the beloved creamsicle perfectly accents the Buccaneers’ new threads, their new jerseys are about two things: Pewter and winning.

Tampa Bay’s primary uniforms remind us of the glory days of Buccaneer football. With the crimson tops and the pewter bottoms, you can only remember fondly the days of Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp being hall of fame players and Ronde Barber, John Lynch and Simeon Rice pushing for their spots in Canton as well.

No longer will the Buccaneers be the laughingstock of the NFC. Even if it’s been over a decade since they’ve sniffed the postseason, it would be shocking if they didn’t qualify for them this fall with Tom Brady as their new quarterback. The GOAT is about to live his best Tampa life, as the Buccaneers will have plenty of reasons to fire the cannons this fall. These uniforms are so cool!

As Deion Sanders once said, “if you look good, you’ll feel good and if you feel good, you’ll play good.” He’d ramble off on a tangent with his iconic quote, but you get the point here, right? No longer will Buccaneers players ask themselves, “why am I wearing this?” Instead, it’ll be something like, “Wow! I can’t believe I get to wear this!” Clearly, perception is key here.

And that’s exactly what the Buccaneers are trying to do. They desperately want to change their national perception from being an irrelevant loser into an undeniable winner thriving in big, primetime spots. By channeling their inner Prime Time, the Buccaneers can get back to their winning ways of the Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden eras of Tampa Bay football.

Even though changing a wardrobe isn’t a panacea, it does wonders for one’s confidence. When you purchase new clothes, buy a new pair of shoes or a fresh haircut (God, knows we all need one…), you can’t help but smile and feel more optimistic about taking on the world in front of you.

Pewter Power is back on the Gulf Coast, and Buccaneers fans could not be more excited about it.
