The NFC South may have the most loaded crop of quarterbacks in the entire NFL, but who is the division’s best passer?

There may not be a better division in football in terms of quarterbacks than the NFC South. The division was already stacked with Matt Ryan and Drew Brees, but the crop got stronger when Teddy Bridgewater moved to Carolina to replace Cam Newton and Tom Brady took over for Jameis Winston in Tampa Bay.

Who is the top dog in the NFC South’s quarterback power rankings? We’ll find out shortly, but we’ll start at the bottom with Bridgewater.

2019 Stats: 67.9% completion rate, 1,384 yards, 9 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

You know it’s a tough list to crack when Bridgewater is last. Despite going 5-0 in place of an injured Brees for the Saints in 2019, Bridgewater is still the worst quarterback in the NFC South.

This is not an indictment of Bridgewater’s ability since he is more than capable of starting for plenty of teams in the NFL. The Carolina Panthers liked what they saw out of Bridgewater, signing him to a three-year, $63 million deal to take over for Newton as the team’s starting quarterback.

Bridgewater may not have the same upside as he did before a horrific knee injury with the Minnesota Vikings, but he can still be an effective winner at the NFL level. The Panthers do have a solid supporting cast for Bridgewater as well, giving him a chance to put up some solid numbers in 2020.
