Los Angeles Chargers 2020 schedule release: Games, dates and times

Los Angeles Chargers, NFL Schedule

The Los Angeles Chargers are moving into a new stadium and could be breaking out a new quarterback, so their 2020 schedule should be fascinating to track.

For the past few years, the Los Angeles Chargers have felt like visitors in their own city. The Chargers have played in a soccer stadium and seen their “home” games filled with fans of the other team, making their existence in Los Angeles a bit strange.

Things should become more normal this season when the Chargers move into SoFi Stadium this fall. The stadium, which they will share with the Los Angeles Rams, will give the Chargers a chance to establish some real roots in their new market for the first time.

The Chargers are embracing this new identity, launching new uniforms and drafting a new franchise quarterback last month. Justin Herbert will be asked to eventually fill the shoes of longtime Charger Philip Rivers, who signed with the Indianapolis Colts after the organization opted not to retain him.

Head coach Anthony Lynn may go with Tyrod Taylor to start the season, giving Los Angeles a proven veteran under center as they try to win now in the competitive AFC West. Taylor does have experience leading a team to the playoffs in 2017, but he should have more weapons to work with on the outside in the form of Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, and Hunter Henry.

There are plenty of intriguing matchups to keep an eye on in the Chargers’ 2020 schedule. Games with the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos should be very interesting to watch.

When the full 2020 NFL schedule is released this post will be updated immediately with game dates, times, and broadcast information. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the home and road opponents for the Chargers in 2020.
