The Raiders are hoping to make the playoffs in their first season in Las Vegas, and here are five players who need to be great in order for them to achieve that.

The Raiders officially left the Bay Area after the 2019 NFL season, and will make their new home in Sin City, as they become the Las Vegas Raiders. Led by head coach Jon Gruden, the Raiders will look to make the playoffs in 2020 after making only one appearance since 2002, when Gruden was the head coach in his first run with the team.

Here are five Raiders who need to be great in 2020.

5. Henry Ruggs III, WR

The Raiders made Alabama speedster Henry Ruggs III their first of two first round picks in 2020, selecting him ahead of the likes of Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb and Ruggs’ Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy. In Ruggs, the Raiders get that top of the depth chart wideout that they had been missing, as they were aggressive at revamping the wide receiver group this offseason.

Ruggs will lead a group that will now include Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, and fellow 2020 draftee, Bryan Edwards, who is South Carolina’s all-time leader in receiving yards. All of a sudden, quarterback Derek Carr has the talent he needs on the outside to lead this team to the playoffs, and Ruggs’ success is crucial to this team doing anything in a tough AFC West this season.
